Port of Call is a solo project by Pieter van Vliet. Influenced by contemporary songwriters (under influence) like Jeff Mangum, Jason Molina and Bill Callahan he started writing songs/songs/songs+songs.
In July 2012 the first – highly appraised – full-length album came out: Ten Feet of Wind. Youth, carelessness and Greek goddesses are entangled with roaring trombones, banjo’s and tape-recorders; soaked in a sweet/sweet/sweet scent of intimacy.
Port of Call has extensively toured through Europe and Canada. His second full-length album will be released in 2016.
